Friendly service and excellent facilities to save recyclable items from our landfills ~ no cost

So there I was, my palms sweaty, knees weak, arm heavy, moms spaghetti all over the road, I was hitting the road in frustration. “WHERE, WHERE CAN I DONATE MY CARDBOARD.” Then my prayers were answered, a bearded man with sunglasses put his hand on my shoulder and I looked up. It was like the gates of the garden of Eden were opened. It was recycling heaven, the burden of the weight of the cardboard was taken off of me. For the first time I could breathe, and for the first time in my life, the war was won.

Cons: Very inconvenient hours. Staff stands there while they wait for a woman in dress clothes to get in the back of the truck to put the trash on the ground for them. They seem slow to work, but I have a feeling that attitude comes from the top. They will not allow you to bring in a trailer to recycle your empty moving boxes. Hint: drive a little farther down S. Perkins Road. There’s an independent center that will gladly accept your recycling. Pros: If you have a truck (again, no trailers), you can dispose of your old mattresses and furniture with a student ID for free. Containers are clearly labeled for drop areas.

4/5 I’m glad the city offers this facility. The clearly-marked areas for different items is helpful. And the staff is helpful and friendly! Only minor inconvenience: could the hours be extended to another hour in the evening? Getting out of work at 5pm, darting home to scramble pack all the recyclables into my vehicle, and then get there within one hour is sometimes tricky.
